REST API - DELETE Backup Set

This operation deletes a backup set.

Request

Syntax

Send the request using either the ID or the name:

  • ID

    DELETE <webservice>/Backupset/{backupsetId} HTTP/1.1
     Host: <host name>
     Accept: application/xml
     Authtoken: <authentication token>
            
        
  • Name

    DELETE <webservice>/Backupset/byName(clientName='{clientName}',appName='{appName}',backupsetName='{backupsetName}') HTTP/1.1
     Host: <host name>
     Accept: application/xml
     Authtoken: <authentication token>
            
        

where <webservice> is the root path used to route the API requests to the Web Server.

backupsetId

The backup set ID for the backup set. If the backup set ID is not known, use the GET Backup Set API to retrieve it.

clientName

The client name for the backup set. If the client name is not known, use the GET Client API to retrieve it.

The application name for the backup set. If the application name is not known, use the GET Backup Set API to retrieve it.

backupsetName

The backup set name of the backup set. If the backup set name is not known, use the GET Backup Set API to retrieve it.
