Restore DB2 tables when you need to recover tables that have been logically corrupted or lost, or after the table structure was modified.

DB2 table restores use the DB2 import, export, and load utilities. This means that DB2 users must have all the privileges for these utilities, for example DBADM privileges.

The Job Details dialog box displays the destination client and instance, which is the computer and instance of the auxiliary database.

When you restore tables to a different host, a new catalog database is generated on the auxiliary database. When the restore is successful, the database is un-cataloged.

When you perform a table level restore, the software generates a Load Copy command for each table.
Space Requirements
Auxiliary Database Host
When you restore DB2 tables, the software creates an auxiliary database on the client that you select (Use an auxiliary database option, Destination Computer list). The client must have free space that is equal to or greater than the size of the source database.
Destination Host
The software restores the system tablespaces and the tablespaces that you select. The destination must have free space that is equal to or greater than the sum of the following data:

The size of the tablespaces that contain the tables that you want to restore

The size of all the system tablespaces
