The VM Scan Analysis Report displays information about the status of scanned jobs and results for VMs. All failed scans are listed with reasons for failure. You can select a storage library or hypervisor client to view the scan results of associated VMs.
Before You Begin

Download and extract the AWSThreatScan app configuration file from the Commvault Store.

Import the VMScanAnalysis XML. For instructions, see Importing a Report Template.
Viewing the VM Scan Analysis Report

From the Command Center navigation pane, click Reports.
The Reports page appears.

Click VMScanAnalysis.
The VMScanAnalysis report appears.

From the Library list, select a storage library and a hypervisor from the Hypervisor list.

Click Apply.
The VM scan status and the Scanned VMs sections display the scan results.
Data Views for the VM Scan Analysis Report
This report includes a chart and table that displays the status of scanned jobs and results for VMs.
VM Scan Status
The VM scan status chart displays number of successfully scanned and the number of VMs not scanned for the selected storage library or hypervisor.
Scanned VMs Details
The Scanned VMs table includes information about the status of scanned jobs and results for VMs.
Column | Description |
---|---|
VM Name | The name of the EC2 instance. |
Backup Job Id | The backup job id for the EC2 instance. |
Scan Job Id | The job id of the EC2 instance scan. |
Scan Start Time | The date and time when the EC2 instance scan was started. |
Scan End Time | The date and time when the EC2 instance scan was completed. |
Scan Results | The result of the EC2 instance scan like the total number of files counted, malicious files and failure count. |
Scan Status | The status of the EC2 instance scan. Possible values:

Malicious Files | The list of malicious files (if any). |
Failed Disks | The list of failed disks (if any). |
