Configuration of the Inline Replication Feature for the HPE 3PAR StoreServ / Primera / HPE Alletra 9000 Series / HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 Storage Array

To configure the Inline Replication feature, with the HPE Alletra Storage MP / Primera / HPE Alletra 9000 Series / HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 software, you need to set up the replication link between the local array and the remote array. With the Commvault software, you create the storage policy for replication, associate the subclients that you want to protect with the replica copy, and then add and configure the arrays in the Commvault software.

Procedure

1. Use the HPE Alletra Storage MP / Primera / HPE Alletra 9000 Series / HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 software to set up replication between the local array and the remote array.

2. Create a storage policy and a snapshot copy on that storage policy.

3. Create the replica copy.

4. Associate the replica copy to the subclients whose snapshots you want to replicate. See Associating the Replica Copy to Subclients.

5. Add the local storage array in Array Management. See Configuring the HP 3PAR / Primera / HPE Alletra 9000 Series / HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 Array Using Array Management.

6. Add the remote storage array in Array Management. See Configuring the HP 3PAR / Primera / HPE Alletra 9000 Series / HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 Array Using Array Management.

7. Editing the Properties of the HP 3PAR / Primera / HPE Alletra 9000 Series / HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 Array of the local array.
