Create and Configure a Remote Domain for Office 365 with Exchange Admin Center (EAC)

Use the Exchange Admin Center (EAC) to create and configure a remote domain that enables journaled messages to be sent to the ContentStore Mail Server (SMTP).

Important

The remote domain must use a non-existent domain name. Use the same domain name for the remote domain, mail contact, Send connector, and journal rules to ensure proper message routing.

For more information about remote domains, see the Microsoft TechNet article "Remote domains in Exchange Online", https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj966211(v=exchg.150).aspx.
