Preventing the Software from Ignoring Oracle RMAN Catalog Errors

Use this additional setting when you want the Commvault software to recognize Oracle RMAN catalog errors. When you set the value to Y, the Commvault software sets the backup job state to pending when the RMAN catalog server is down.

If you set this additional setting to N, then you must manually resync the Oracle RMAN catalog.

Procedure

• To the Oracle client, add the additional setting as shown in the following table.
