Restoring Mailboxes, Mailbox Items, Messages or Public Folders to a Different Disk Location

You can restore mailboxes, mailbox items, or messages to a physically different location on a disk (that is, a non-Exchange location).

Note

In case of public folders, all the public folder data can be browsed from the user mailbox subclient level.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Console, expand Client Computers > client > agent > set.

  2. On the Content tab, right-click the subclient, and then click Browse and Restore.

    The Browse and Restore dialog box appears.

  3. Click View Content.

    The Client browse window appears.

  4. Do one of the following:

    • To restore a mailbox, select a mailbox in the left pane.

    • To restore a folder, expand the mailbox, and then select the folder.

    • To restore a message, in the right pane, select the appropriate message.

    • To restore a message that has an attachment, select a message that has paper clip icon.

    • To restore a public folder, in the left pane, expand All Public Folders, and then select the public folder

  5. Click Recover All Selected.

    The Restore Options for All Selected Items dialog box appears.

  6. Select To Disk.

  7. From the Destination Client list, select the name of the appropriate client computer.

  8. In the To Disk box, type the destination path.

  9. Click OK.
