You can use the Commvault Plug-In for VMware Cloud Director to restore virtual machines.

In VMware Cloud Director, click More, and then click Commvault Data Protection.
If you are using an older version of VMware Cloud Director (versions 9.5 - 10.0), click the Cloud Resources menu icon, and then select the plug-in option, Commvault Data Protection.

On the Virtual Machines tab, select the VM, and then click Restore.

Select the type of restore that you want to perform.
By default, restores of vApps are in place.

Click Restore.

In VMware Cloud Director, click More, and then click Commvault Data Protection.

On the Virtual Machines tab, select the VM, and then click View Jobs.

In the Operation column, click the Recover VM from this Backup icon next to the backup job.

Select the type of restore that you want to perform.
By default, restores of vApps are in place.

Click Restore.
