Configuration of the Primary Remote Snapshot Feature for the Hitachi Vantara Storage Array

To configure Primary Remote Snapshot with the Hitachi Vantara software, you need to add both the primary array and the remote array in Array Management, and then establish a relationship between them.

Procedure

1. Add a primary storage array in Array Management. See Setting Up the Hitachi Vantara Array Using Array Management.

2. Add a remote storage array in Array Management. See Setting Up the Hitachi Vantara Array Using Array Management.

3. To establish a relationship between the primary storage array and the remote storage array, edit the snapshot configuration properties of the primary array. See Configuring the Primary Array for the Primary Remote Snapshot Feature.
