To restore data stored on disk volumes using a Unix/ Linux MediaAgent, configure bMERestoreAsFS key using the following steps.
Note
This registry configuration is only required when using the Windows version of Media Explorer. The native Linux version of Media Explorer handles this natively and does not require this registry configuration.
Procedure

From the Start menu, type Run.

Type Regedit in the Run dialog box.

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Commvault Systems\Galaxy\Instance001

Right-click New | Key

Type the name, Base
-
Right-click, and then click New | DWORD.

Type the name, bMERestoreAsFS.
Result
Data written by Linux/Unix MediaAgent can be restored using the Media Explorer tool, which is run on the Windows operating system.
Note
To disable restores of data stored on disk volumes using a Unix/ Linux MediaAgent, delete the bMERestoreAsFS key.
