Performing an Offline Backup for Restoring a DB2 MultiNode Non-recoverable Database

DB2 supports backup and restore of a non-recoverable database.

Procedure

  1. Disable the DB2 archive logs by setting the LOGARCHMETH1 parameter to off.

  2. Configure this database on the CommCell Console. Use either the default subclient or create a new subclient. The subclient (whether default or new) must be an offline and data only subclient.

  3. Run a full backup.
