Symptom
After an instance is restored, the metadata for the restored instance has an empty value for the key_name field.
Cause
If the user account that was specified for the OpenStack virtualization client does not have access to the key pair associated with the instance owner, the key pair cannot be restored with the instance.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, use one of the following workarounds:

Create a new OpenStack virtualization client and specify the user credentials for the instance owner. During the restore of the instance, in the Restore Options for All Selected Items dialog box, select the virtualization client associated with the instance owner from the Virtualization Client list.

During the restore of the instance, in the Restore Options for All Selected Items dialog box, select Select different cloud/user for restore from the Virtualization Client list, and then enter the URL or user name for the instance owner and provide credentials for the client.

Import the public keys for the instance owner to the user specified for the virtualization client, and then perform the restore again.
