Configure the NAS client for Pure Storage FlashArray File NFS exports.
Start configuration

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Files.

On the Files tab, click Add server, and then select NAS.

Click Next.
Add the NAS server

On the Add NAS Server page, enter a display name.

For Vendor type, select Pure Storage FlashArray.

Enter the Pure management interface IP.

Select your saved array Credential, or add new credentials.
Add new credentials
To add credentials to the Credential Manager, click the add button, and then specify the following in the Add Credential dialog box.

In the Credential name box, enter the name of the credential.

In the User account box, enter the FlashArray account username.

In the Password box, enter the API token.
-
In the Description box, you can enter a description of the credentials.

Click Save.

Click Next.
Create and assign a backup plan

From the Plan list, select an existing backup plan or create a new backup plan.
Steps to create a new backup plan

Click the add button

In the Plan name field, enter a name for the backup plan.

From the Storage list, select the storage location for the backups.

Configure the backup plan retention and schedule by choosing one of the following options:
Use pre-defined settings
- Under Retention, select Standard retention to retain backups for 1 month.
Create custom settings

Enable the Custom plan toggle.

For Retention, specify how long to keep backups (example: 30 days, 1 year).

For Backups run every, specify how frequently to run backups (example: daily, weekly).

Click Done.
The backup plan is created and appears in the backup plan list.

Click Next.
Choose protocol

Enable NFS.

Select the backup Access Nodes.
Note

Only the access nodes with both FS and MA packages are displayed.

If a client group is selected as an access node, each client in the group must have connectivity to the array.

The selected client group must have at least one Linux access node.

In the Content area, click Add, and then choose one of the following methods:

Browse: Select specific folders and files from the file system.
-
Custom path: Enter one or more paths manually, using the format
<management interface IP>:/<export path>.

In the Exclusions area, click Add, and then use Browse or Custom path to specify items to exclude.

To create exceptions, enable Define exceptions, click Add, and then use Browse or Custom path to specify items to exempt from the exclusions.

Click Browse.

Enter the NFS Interface IP.

Select the array Access node, and then click Browse.
-
Select the interface that hosts the exports you want to protect.

Select the files or folders that you want to back up, and then click Save.
Custom path

Enter a path or filter pattern in the Enter custom path field.

Click the add button.

From the Include global exclusions list, select one of the following:
-
Off: Applies only subclient exclusions. This option overrides the Use Global Filters on All Subclients setting.
-
On: Applies both global filters and subclient exclusions. This option overrides the Use Global Filters on All Subclients setting.

Use cell level policy: Applies global filters only if Use Global Filters on All Subclients is enabled in Global Filters.
