Create a MongoDB API key that the Commvault access node can use to access the MongoDB Atlas data for backups and restores. Access nodes run backups and other operations.
When you specify the IP address of the access node for the API key, you can enter either a single IP address or an IP address range using Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) notation.
Before You Begin
Obtain the IP address of the server that you will use as an access node for Atlas.
Procedure
-
In MongoDB Atlas, create an API key and grant the required organization-level or project-level access by following the official Atlas documentation.
-
Add the access node IP address to the API key access list. You can specify either:
-
a single IP address, or
-
an IP address range in CIDR notation
-
-
Save the API key details in a secure location.
-
Complete the setup in Atlas by using the configuration steps in the MongoDB Atlas documentation.
