Configuring Stage Free Restores for Kudu

By default, restore operations stage data at the staging path that was defined while creating the instance.

To perform stage free restores, you must add an entity setting to the access node for Hadoop.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Settings > Advanced.

2. Click the Additional settings tile.

   The Additional settings page appears.

3. Click Add, and then select entity settings.

   The Add entity settings dialog box appears.

4. In the Name box, enter nKuduStageFreeRestore.

5. From the Entity list, select the Hadoop access node.

6. In the Category box, enter FileSystemAgent.

7. From the Type list, select Integer.

8. In the Value box, enter 1.

9. In the Comment box, enter an explanation for the change.

10. Click Save.
