Perform the following tasks after adding new nodes to an existing Commvault Flex Appliance storage pool:
1. Install the latest Commvault updates in the new nodes
The MediaAgent in the new nodes may have with an older version of the Commvault software.
If necessary, update the software to the latest maintenance release version. For more information, see Updating Commvault Software on a Server.
2. Enable secure SSH connectivity in the new nodes
Enable secure SSH connectivity in the new nodes, if it is enabled on the other nodes in the storage pool. For more information, see Enabling Secure SSH Connectivity.
3. Disable root access in the storage pool
Disable root access on existing nodes that was originally enabled before adding the new node. For more information, see Enabling or Disabling Root Access.
