Running a Google Workspace Content Indexing Job

You can run a content indexing job on-demand. Typically, content indexing jobs are run after a successful back up operation according to the schedule defined in the backup plan.

Before You Begin

Content indexing must be enabled in the Google Workspace plan. For more information, contact Commvault Cloud Support.

Note

When a file that has already been Content Indexed gets a new version through backup, CI stats may temporarily drop since they reflect only the latest version, which might not be indexed yet.

Procedure

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Google Workspace.

The Google Workspace Overview page appears.

  2. On the Apps tab, click the Google Workspace app that contains the user for which you want to content index the files or messages.

The Overview page of the app appears.

  3. Based on the Google Workspace app selected, do one of the following:

    • Gmail: On the Mailboxes tab, in the row of the mailbox, click the action button action_button, and then click Content Indexing.

The Content indexing dialog box appears.
