After you add a Zscaler configuration, you can modify its settings to change the backup plan, exclude the instance from SLA, configure a new subclient, or deconfigure the instance.
Go to the Zscaler configuration
-
From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > SaaS Apps.
-
Click the Zscaler configuration.
Configure instance-specific settings
These settings are used in specific scenarios and aren't required for most environments.
Credentials
Update the Zscaler OneAPI credentials if the client ID, client secret, vanity domain, or customer ID changes:
-
Username: The OneAPI client ID from your Zscaler admin portal.
-
Password: The OneAPI client secret.
-
Vanity Domain: The tenant prefix only (for example,
commvaultengineering). Do not include a URL, protocol, or domain suffix. -
Customer ID (required for ZPA): The ZPA customer ID supplied to the OneAPI client.
Backup plan
Change the backup plan assigned to the Zscaler instance:
-
In the Plan section, select a different backup plan from the list.
-
Click Save.
The new plan applies to the next scheduled backup.
Exclude from SLA calculations
Exclude the Zscaler instance from SLA reporting:
-
Enable the Exclude from SLA calculations toggle.
-
Click Save.
Subclients
To modify subclient settings or create a new subclient, see Modify settings for a Zscaler subclient.
Deconfigure
Remove the Zscaler configuration from Commvault:
-
Click Deconfigure.
-
Confirm the action.
Deconfiguring the instance does not delete backup data already stored. Backup data remains available according to the retention settings of the backup plan.
Save changes
-
Review your changes.
-
Click Save.
Changes to credentials and backup plan take effect immediately and apply to the next scheduled or on-demand backup.
