You can browse and select files to restore from a backed-up HPE Morpheus VM Essentials instance.

Prerequisites
If a passkey is configured for restores, you must have the passkey.
Procedure

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Virtual machines.

On the Virtual machines tab, click the instance.

In the Recovery points section, click Restore.

Click Guest files.
-
Select the files to restore.

Click Restore.
Follow these steps to restore guest files to a discovered virtual machine.

In Destination client, verify the destination client or select a different client.

From the Access node list, select the access node to run the restore.

In Credential, select a saved credential, or click + to add a credential.

In Destination path, enter the full path where the files must be restored.

To replace existing files at the destination path, turn on Unconditionally overwrite if it already exists.

To restore files directly to the destination VM where native hypervisor guest file restore support is unavailable or limited, select Restore via CV tools. For more information on how this works, see Agentless guest file restore.

To receive an email notification when the restore job completes, select Notify user on job completion.

Click Submit.
Follow these steps to restore guest files to a virtual machine that might not be discovered or backed up yet.

If the destination VM resides on another hypervisor, from the Destination hypervisor, select the host name of the hypervisor.

From the Access node list, select the access node to run the restore.

From the Destination VM list, select the destination virtual machine, or click Browse to locate it.

In Credential, select a saved credential, or click + to add a credential.

In Destination path, enter the full path where the files must be restored.
