You can restore data from a backup job that is not available in the CommServe database, but the actual backup data is available on tape media. Perform the following tasks in the order listed.

Catalog the tapes that contain the physical data. See Cataloging a Tape.

View and merge the catalogued contents from the tapes. See Merging Content from Cataloged Tapes.

Enable browse and restore of the merged jobs. See Enabling Browse and Restore of Aged Data.

Restore the merged jobs. See Restoring Merged Backup Data.
