You can restore only the content database component, either to the same source client or to a new destination client.
To the Same Configuration
To restore a content database to the same client, complete the following steps:
- 
From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > SharePoint Server > Databases.
 - 
Right click the subclient, and then click Browse and Restore.
The Browse and Restore Options dialog box appears.
 - 
Click View Content.
 - 
Expand the WSS Web Application node, select a content database, and then click Recover all Selected.
The Restore Options for All Selected Items dialog box appears.
 - 
On the General tab, select the following options to perform the restore job:

In the Restore Options pane, select Restore individual component, and then select the Content Database check box.
 - 
In the Type of Restore pane, select Same Configuration.

Click OK.
 
To a New Configuration
To restore a content database to a different client, complete the following steps:
- 
From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > SharePoint Server > Databases.
 - 
Right click the subclient, and then click Browse and Restore.
The Browse and Restore Options dialog box appears.
 - 
Click View Content.
 - 
Expand the WSS Web Application node, select a content database, and then click Recover all Selected.
The Restore Options for All Selected Items dialog box appears.
 - 
On the General tab, select the following options to perform the restore job:

In the Restore Options pane, select Restore individual component, and then select the Content Database check box.
 - 
In the Type of Restore pane, select New Configuration.
 - 
In the SQL Server Client box, select the SQL Sever that you configured to protect the SharePoint content database.

Optional: On the Database tab, choose how you want to restore the data.

Note
You can restore only one content database per restore job. Restoring multiple content databases in a single job is not supported.
