Supported Vendors

WORM storage mode is supported for the following cloud storage vendors:

  • Vendors who support object-level retention:

    • Amazon S3

    • Microsoft Azure Storage

    • NetApp StorageGRID (version 11.5)

    • Hitachi Content Platform (HS3)

    • Hitachi Content Platform for Cloud Scale (S3)

    • HPE GreenLake for File Storage MP

    • VAST Data Platform

    • IBM Cloud Object Storage (Supported only for S3 Object Lock on IBM COS version 3.17.x and higher)

    • Pure Storage FlashBlade

    • Scality RING

    • Scality ARTESCA

    • Cloudian HyperStore

    • Dell ECS (uses S3 object lock as of hotfix pack 47)

    • Dell ObjectScale

    • Huawei OceanStore Pacific

    • Nutanix Objects

    • Quantum ActiveScale

    • Wasabi

  • Vendors who support only bucket/container level retention:

    • Google Cloud Storage

    • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage

Note

  • Metallic Recovery Reserve and stand-alone policies are not supported.

  • You must disable the Auto-Commit option on the storage vendor side, if available.
