Creating a NAS Client for Dell EMC Isilon/PowerScale from the Command Center

You can add a network share client to back up CIFS/NFS exports. You can also use Commvault's NDMP agent to backup the data residing on a NAS file server.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > File Servers.

    The File servers page appears.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Add server.

    The Add Server dialog box appears.

  3. Click NAS.

    The Add NAS server dialog box appears.

  4. In the Server name box, type a name for the Dell EMC Isilon/PowerScale.

  5. In the Host name box, type the fully qualified host name of the Dell EMC Isilon/PowerScale.

  6. From the Plan list, select a server plan.

  7. Under Network share configuration, for Array, click Add.

    The Add array dialog box appears.

    1. From the Select vendor list, select Dell EMC Isilon.

    2. In the Array name box, type the array name.

    3. In the Control host box, type the control host IP.

    4. In the User name and Password boxes, type the credentials for the array.

    5. (Optional) From the Access nodes list, select an access node.

    6. Click OK.

  11. Click Save.
