Use the most recent version of the operating system that is listed. The Commvault software fully supports the most recent version of an operating system, until the vendor ends support. More recent versions of the Commvault software might not install on operating systems that are not supported by the vendor anymore. For information about the support lifecycle of an operating system, contact the vendor.

Microsoft Visual C++
The following Redistributable Packages are installed automatically. Multiple versions of the package can be installed on the same computer.
Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable Package
For Windows 2008 R2 computers, use a minimum of Service Pack 1.
Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package ( Required for the Virtual Server, Content Extractor, and IntelliSnap packages)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (Only with the IntelliSnap package)

The Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package can be uninstalled if you are not using IntelliSnap engine DataCore Snap or any other DataCore snapshot related features.
Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015-2022
Starting in Commvault Platform Release 2024 (11.32), the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015-2022 is automatically installed.
For all agents, the VCRedist 2015-2022 binaries are installed in the Install_Directory\Base folder.
For the CommServe computer, Metrics Server, MongoDB, MySQL, Web Server, and Workflow Engine, VCRedist 2015-2022 is installed system-wide.
