Creating a Mirror Copy for Azure NetApp Files Volumes Replication

Create a secondary snapshot copy for the Azure NetApp Files volumes.

Note

The retention period for the secondary snapshot (mirror) copy is same as the primary snapshot copy.

Before you Begin

Ensure that you have created a server plan with snapshot primary copy. For more information, see Creating a Server Plan and a Snapshot Primary Copy

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Manage > Plans.

    The Plans page appears.

  2. From the Plans list, click the plan that you want to add a storage copy.

    The Overview page of the plan appears.

  3. Click the Backup destinations tab.

    The Regions page appears.

  4. Expand the region you want to add the copy for.

    The Backup destinations tile opens.

  5. Click Add in the top right, and then click Snap copy.

    The Add snapshot copy window appears.

  6. In the Name box, enter a name for the snapshot copy.

  7. For Copy type, select Mirror.

    The Snapshot Vendor is listed as Generic by default.

  8. From the Storage list, select a storage pool for the snapshot copy.

  9. From the Source list, select a primary snapshot copy.

  10. To specify the start time for backups on a specific date and later, for What start date should we copy these backup types from?, select Protect from a specific date, and then select a date.

  11. Click Save.
