Performing Qumulo File Storage Backups for CIFS

You can perform a full, incremental, or a synthetic full backup of the CIFS shares.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > File servers.

   The Overview page appears.

2. Go to the File servers tab, and then click the file server.

   The file server page appears.

3. Under Protocols, click CIFS.

   The CIFS Overview page appears.

4. On the Subclients tab, in the row for the subclient that you want to back up, click the action button , and then click Backup.

   The Backup dialog box appears.

5. For Backup options, select the backup type.

6. Optional: To receive an Email when the backup operation completes, select the When the job completes, notify me via email check box.

7. Click Submit.

8. Optional: To view the job details, click the job ID.

9. Click OK.
