Subclient Peak Usage Report for Virtual Operating Instances

The Subclient Peak Usage Report for Virtual Operating Instances displays the largest operating instance for each Host in the selected CommCell environment during the selected month.

Only some of the columns appear by default. You can view any additional columns by using the Columns setting.

To view this report, in the Subclient Peak Usage Report, in the Virtual Operating Instances peak usage per month chart, click a bar.

Peak Virtual Operating Instances Table

This table lists each virtual machine that is counted in the peak usage for the Virtual Operating Instances license.

Column

Description

ID

The ID of the VM.

Name

The virtual instance.

Company ID

The ID of the company that owns the virtual instance.

If the virtual instance is not part of a company CommCell environment, then this column contains no data.

Company

The company that owns the virtual instance.

If the virtual instance is not part of a company CommCell environment, then this column contains no data.

VOI Type

The type of virtual operating instance, including any of the following:

  • Archived VM

  • Not protected by VSA

  • Protected by VSA

  • Kubernetes stateful (also Protected by VSA)

  • Kubernetes stateless (also Protected by VSA)

Virtual Operating Instances Peak Usage Details Table

This table displays information about virtualization backup jobs, such as the license associated with the job and the peak license usage.

Column

Description

License ID

The ID of the license.

License

The type of license.

Job ID

The ID for the job that ran.

Job Type

The type of job that ran and whether it was structured or unstructured, such as Backup (structured).

Workload

The workload assigned to each subclient.

Workload ID

ID of the workload.

Client ID

The ID of the client computer.

Client

The client computer.

Agent ID

The ID of the agent type.

Agent

The type of agent software, such as Virtual Server or Windows File System.

Virtualization Job ID

The ID for the virtualization job that ran.

Virtualization Client ID

The ID of the client computer where the job ran.

Virtualization Client

The client computer where the job ran.

Virtualization Instance ID

The ID of the instance.

Virtualization Instance

The type of hypervisor, such as VMware or Azure.

Virtualization Backup Set ID

The ID of the backup set.

Virtualization Backup Set

The backup set that is associated with the subclient.

Virtualization Subclient ID

The ID of the subclient.

Virtualization Subclient

The subclient (content) that was backed up.

Virtualization Storage Policy ID

The ID of the storage policy.

Virtualization Storage Policy

The storage policy that is associated with the subclient.

Used

The amount of data in the job.

Company ID

The ID of the company.

If the VM is not part of a company CommCell environment, then this column contains no data.

Company

The company that owns the VM.

If the VM is not part of a company CommCell environment, then this column contains no data.

Plan

The plan that is associated with the VM and the storage policy. If there is no plan associated with the job, then the column displays N/A.

Excluded from Capacity

An indication of whether the amount of data in the job was excluded from the capacity license usage, such as Yes or No.

License ID Causing Exclusion

The license ID that causes the job to be excluded from capacity license usage.

License Causing Exclusion

The license that causes the job to be excluded from capacity license usage, such as Virtual Operating Instances or Application Class Virtual.
