System Requirements for Red Hat Virtualization Access Nodes

To protect Red Hat Virtualization VMs, you must have at least one access node (also called proxies) in the RHV data center that contains the VMs. Red Hat guest tools must be installed on the access node. Access nodes manage backup and restore operations for guest VMs in your environment, without the need to install agents on guest VMs.

Linux Access Nodes

For Linux proxies, disable automatic activation of volumes to avoid issues with HotAdd operations during backup and recovery. For more information, see Disabling Automatic Activation of Volumes for a Linux Proxy.

  • CentOS version 7.4, 7.5, 7.6, 7.7, 7.8, or 7.9

    Note
