You can configure PnP (Plug and Play) disk libraries from the CommCell Console.
Before You Begin

Verify the support information provided in the following pages:

Verify that the disk is visible to the operating system.

If you are using a PnP Disk Library with removable SAS and SATA drives, then you must configure the bSupportPnPSATADrives additional setting. For more information on configuring additional settings, see Adding or Modifying Additional Settings from the CommCell Console.
Procedure

Open the Expert Storage Configuration dialog box.
The Select MediaAgents dialog box appears.

Select the appropriate MediaAgent, and then click Add to move the MediaAgent to the Selected MediaAgents list.

Click OK.

In the Expert Storage Configuration dialog box, click the Start menu, select Add, and then click Add PnP Library.

Select the name of the MediaAgent where you want to configure the library, and then click Add to move the MediaAgent to the Selected MediaAgents list.
The library appears in the Expert Storage Configuration dialog box.

If necessary, right-click the library, and then click Properties.

In the Library Properties dialog box, you can modify the following options:

Alias: The name of the library. This name is displayed in the CommCell Browser for the library.
We strongly recommend that you provide appropriate labels or aliases for each PnP Library. This will help you identify the proper library when you are prompted to insert media into a drive.

Click OK.

Right-click the library, and then click Configure.
A message appears that asks you to confirm that you want to configure the library.

Click Yes.
The status of the library changes to Configured.
