Considerations for the Huawei Storage Array

Before using the IntelliSnap feature for this storage array, read the following limitations and special conditions.

General

  • The Huawei OceanStor Dorado V3 and V6 Series do not support the clone engine.

  • vStores not supported on the Huawei OceanStor Dorado V3, V6 series.

  • vStores supported on Huawei OceanStor V3 model on V300R006C10 and more recent versions.

  • Huawei OceanStor V3 V300R006C10 is the minimum version for the REST API.

CIFS and NFS

  • CIFS and NFS are supported on the Huawei OceanStor V3 models with version V300R006C10 and later versions.

  • CIFS and NFS are not supported on the Huawei OceanStor Dorado V3.

  • The support for the CIFS and NFS protocols is for network share backups only.

  • For CIFS and NFS, the revert operation is not supported.
