You can delete client computers from your CommCell environment.
Tip
-
To help determine which clients need to be deleted, create a smart client group with the Clients with no Archive Data rule. For information on the available smart client group rules, see Rules Available for Smart Client Computer Groups.
-
To automatically delete clients during data aging operations, set the Delete deconfigured clients that have no protected data parameter. For information on the parameter, see Media Management Configuration: Data Aging.
After you delete a client computer, the backup data for the client computer is deleted. You cannot browse or restore this data.
Important
When you delete a client, the CommServe computer sends a message to the client computer so that it will stop sending messages to the CommServe computer.

A message appears that asks you to confirm whether you want to delete the client computer.
