Encrypting Network Traffic at CommCell Level

You can encrypt network traffic at the CommCell level by adding the mandateEncryption additional setting to the CommServe computer.

Encrypting network traffic sets the communication tunnel protocol to HTTPS (encrypted) for all network routes, and creates the following entry in all client network Fwconfig.txt files:

• force_incoming_https = 1

Procedure

1. Follow the steps described in Adding or Modifying Additional Settings from the CommCell Console, using the following parameters:

   Setting Name	mandateEncryption
   Category	CommServDB.GxGlobalParam
   Type	INTEGER
   Value	1

2. Push network configuration at the topology level or at the client group level where network routes are configured.
