Entering Required Firewall Settings to Configure DataServer-IP

The following ports are required for configuring the DataServer-IP.

If necessary, the port mapping can be changed using the nNfs3Port additional setting on the MediaAgent where the 3dnfs service is running.

This port is used by the DataServer-IP MediaAgent to find the mount and NFS ports used by the MediaAgent performing the backups.

On Linux servers, rpcbind should be installed and enabled. Otherwise the registration with the portmapper will fail.

Additional Information

  • TPPM is not supported. You must open ports for NFS.

  • Ensure that these ports are not blocked by firewall and are not used by other processes, especially when setting new ports using the additional settings.

  • If those ports are already used by other programs, the software will automatically pick another port as follows:

    • If an open port range is configured, a port from that range will be used.

    • If no open port range is configured, a random port will be used.

  • The following additional settings are updated with the actual ports used during runtime. (Do not modify these additional settings.)
