The SnapTest tool is a stand-alone command line executable designed for the following scenarios:

To test if the client computer has the IntelliSnap environment ready for snap operations.

To test snapshot operations on the storage array.

To verify host and array connections by deriving the HBA/iSCSI, the vendor, product, and version details for an array.

To test proxy computers by mounting snapshots.
The SnapTest tool works with multiple mount points for each operation and supports interactive and command line modes.
Snapshots created and managed by the SnapTest tool are not accessible by the Commvault software.
