Commvault strongly encourages you no longer install Commvault control plane on Windows, but you can do so by enabling the feature with an additional setting.
Commvault control plane includes the following components:

CommServe server

Web Server
-
Command Center
If control plane components are already installed on Windows, you can continue to update them, as needed.
We recommend moving these components to a Linux platform for significantly increased performance, stability, efficiency, and security. Still, we understand that some businesses may need to keep using Windows.
Procedure

Open the Windows Registry Editor, and go to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARE directory.

Right-click SOFTWARE, and then click New > Key.

Name the new key GalaxyInstallerFlags.

Right-click GalaxyInstallerFlags, and then click New > DWORD.

Name the new value bAllowInfraPkgInstall.

Double-click bAllowInfraPkgInstall, set the Value to 1, and then click OK.

Close the Registry Editor.
