To manage a DB2 database, add an instance for the database server.
For more information about DB2 agent configuration, see configuration.
Procedure

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.
The database Overview page appears.

From the Add Instance list, select Database server.
The Configure Database Type page appears.

Select DB2, and then click Next.
The Add DB2 instance dialog box appears.

From the Server name list, select the server where you want to create the instance.

In the Instance name box, type a name for the instance.

From the Plan list, select the backup plan to use for the instances and databases.
The backup plan specifies how often the software backs up the instances and databases.

In the DB2 Home box, type the full path to the DB2 home directory.

Under the DB2 user account section, from the Credential list, select a saved credential. You can also add a credential as per requirement. To add a credential, do the following:

Click the + icon beside the Credentials list.
The Add Credential dialog box appears.

In the Credential vault box, select a credential vault to store, share, and update account credentials with shared resources in your environment.

In the Credential name box, enter the credential name of the database user.

If you want to enable passwordless login, move the Passwordless Authentication toggle key to right, and enter the following details:

In the DB2 Username box, enter the user name of the DB2 database user account.

In the Description box, enter a description of the credential.

Click Save.

Click Add.
