Cloning a Virtual Machine

You can create a copy of an existing virtual machine using the cloning action. A newly-cloned virtual machine retains the same characteristics of the virtual machine from which it was cloned (such as the operating system). This option is useful if you want to create a virtual machine from a template that is no longer available.

You can create a clone from Azure, Hyper-V, and VMware virtual machines.

Before You Begin
