To prevent accidental data deletion and maintain the retention period, configure the compliance lock for your laptop backup copy. The compliance lock setting prevents retention settings from being lowered and prevents laptop copies with valid jobs from being deleted.
Compliance Lock enables Write Once Read Many (WORM) mode on disk or cloud storage. Once you back up the data to storage, it cannot be modified or deleted until its retention period expires. Further, you can increase retention periods, but cannot reduce them after configuring compliance lock.

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Plans.

To view laptop plans click the Laptop tab.

In the Plan name column, click the laptop plan the backup copy belongs to.

Click the Storage policies tab.

Expand Default.

Click the copy for which you want to enable compliance lock.

In the Immutability section, enable the Compliance lock toggle key.

On the Enable compliance lock dialog box, type
Enable compliance lock, and click Confirm.
