To securely and efficiently execute REST APIs, you must first create a service account. Because a service account does not include a password or email address, users cannot log in to the Commvault Cloud interfaces using this account.
Before You Begin
You must have the following permissions at the CommCell or company level:

Change security settings
Procedure

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Security.
The Security page appears.

Click the Users tile.
The Users page appears.

Click the Add user button, and then select Single user.

Select Service account.

In the User name box, enter a username.

From the User group list, select the user group to associate with the service account.

In the Description box, enter the description for service account.

Click Add.

The service account becomes available after it is approved.
