Enabling IntelliSnap Backups for MySQL Databases

You can enable IntelliSnap backup on a database group.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The database Overview tab appears.

2. On the Instances tab, click an instance.

   The instance Overview page appears.

3. On the Database groups tab, click the database group for which you want to enable running IntelliSnap backup operations.

   The database group Overview page appears.

4. In the Snapshot management tile, move the Enable snap backup toggle key to the right.

   The Snapshot management dialog box appears.

5. From the Engines list, select a snapshot engine.

6. In the Additional options section, enter the following details:

   1. From the Access node for snap operations list, select an access node for snap operation if required.

   2. From the Separate access node for backup copy list, select an access node if required.

7. Move Use source if access node is unreachable toggle to right if you can not reach the access node and want the system to use the source.

8. Click Save.
