File Archiving

You can use the Commvault software to model what-if scenarios using custom rules to intelligently identify stale data, create an archiving plan based on those rules, and regain disk space on a NAS server.

The archiving operation archives the files, and then deletes them from the source CIFS and NFS shares on the NAS server.

The data is archived up to the storage location that is specified by an archive plan.
