Getting Started with Snapshots

Getting started with using snapshot backups includes adding a storage array, specifying snapshot backups in a backup plan, and associating the backup plan with entities.

Procedure

1. Add a storage array/cloud platform to the CommServe database.

2. Create a backup plan with the snapshot settings that you want to use.

3. Associate the backup plan with the entity that you want to back up.

4. Enable snapshot backups and select a snapshot engine.

Results

The next backup of the entity uses snapshots.
