Default configuration

  • Naming convention: IS_SVOL_SP_2_JobID_SnapID

    • IS_SVOL_SP_2: Constant value

    • Job ID: A unique ID assigned to each snapshot backup by the Commvault Cloud software.

    • SnapID: The snapshot ID created by the Commvault Cloud software.

  • Example: IS_SVOL_SP_2_6458_130

Instant clone configuration

  • Naming convention: IS_CLONE_MountID_Timestamp

    • IS_CLONE: Constant value

    • Mount ID: The volume ID assigned by the snap manager software.

    • Timestamp: Hexadecimal time.

  • Example: IS_CLONE_1018_1601382866

Hitachi Thin Image (CCI)

Default configuration

  • Naming convention: IS_CLONE_JobID_SnapID

    • IS_SVOL_SP_2: Constant value

    • Job ID: A unique ID assigned to each snapshot backup by the Commvault Cloud software.

  • Naming convention: IS_SubclientID_PoolID_JobID_Timestamp

    • IS_SVOL_SP_2: Constant value

    • SubclientID: The unique identifier for the subclient that defines a set of backup data.

    • PoolID: A unique ID assigned to each storage pool by the Commvault Cloud software.

    • Timestamp: Hexadecimal format.
