You can import companies from Autotask PSA into the Commvault MSP Portal.
Before You Begin
- Integrate the Commvault MSP Portal with Autotask PSA software. For more information, see Integrating the Commvault MSP Portal with Autotask PSA.
Procedure
-
From the Commvault MSP Portal, at the top of the page, click Manage All Accounts.
The Command Center appears.
-
Click Manage > System.
The System page appears.
-
Click the Autotask PSA tile.
The Autotask PSA configuration page appears.
-
Click the Companies tab to view a list of Autotask PSA companies that have been discovered by the Commvault MSP Portal.
Note
At any time, at the top of the Companies tab, you can click Discover to discover more Autotask PSA companies.
-
Select the companies you want to import, and then click Import.
The Confirm Import dialog box appears.
-
Click Yes.
The selected Autotask PSA companies are now created as companies in the Command Center (and mirrored in the Commvault MSP Portal).
The following attributes are automatically populated in the Commvault MSP Portal (with data pulled from Autotask PSA):
-
Company name
-
Customer ID
-
Address
Note
-
If a state abbreviation for an entry in Autotask is not in its ISO abbreviated form (for example, NY, PA, CA), the import for that entry will fail.
-
If the company address does not exist in Autotask PSA, the company address will be blank in the Commvault MSP Portal.
-
-
Admin Details
IMPORTANT
If the company's admin/primary contact information does not exist in Autotask PSA, the import will fail. The following Autotask PSA fields are required for a successful import:
-
First Name
-
Last Name
-
Email Address
-
-
Country
Note
-
If the company doesn't have a country assigned in Autotask PSA, the country will be assigned as the United States in the Commvault MSP Portal.
-
The company is created on the workload ring for its respective country.
-
Note
If a company fails to import successfully, it will show a status of FAILED in the Status column. To view the reason for the failed import, hover your mouse over the word FAILED.
