INFINIDAT for snapshot storage

Commvault Cloud supports INFINIDAT for snapshot storage.

Ports

Open port 443 (HTTPS) between the the Commvault Cloud control plane or Backup Gateway and the INFINIDAT server.

Snapshot names

INFINIDAT InfiniSnap

Default configuration

  • Naming convention: SP_2_JobID_SnapID

    • SP_2: Constant value

    • Job ID: A unique ID assigned to each snapshot backup by the Commvault Cloud software.

    • SnapID: The snapshot ID created by the Commvault Cloud software.

  • Example: SP_2_13283_2727

Clone configuration

  • Naming convention: CV_INFINIDAT_CLONE_InfinidatSnapshotID_TimeStamp

    • CV_INFINIDAT_CLONE: Constant value.

    • InfinidatSnapshotID: The snapshot ID created by INFINIDAT.

    • TimeStamp: Hexadecimal format.

  • Example: CV_INFINIDAT_CLONE_68432956_1656438442

Instant clone configuration

  • Naming convention: MountID_InfinidatSnapshotID_CV_CLONE

    • MountID: The volume ID created by the snap manager.

    • InfinidatSnapshotID: The snapshot ID created by INFINIDAT.

    • CV_CLONE: Constant value.

  • Example: 45719_68432956_CV_CLONE

INFINIDAT InfiniSnap active replication

  • Configuration: default

  • Naming convention: SP_2_JobID_SnapID

    • SP_2: Constant value

    • Job ID: A unique ID assigned to each snapshot backup by the Commvault Cloud software.

    • SnapIDofPrimary: The snapshot ID for the primary copy created by the Commvault Cloud software.

  • Example: SP_2_1108843_161915

INFINIDAT InfiniSnap Async replication

  • Configuration: default

  • Naming convention: SP_2_JobID_SnapIDofSecondary

    • SP_2: Constant value.

    • Job ID: A unique ID assigned to each snapshot backup by the Commvault Cloud software.

    • SnapIDofSecondary: The snapshot ID for the secondary copy created by the Commvault Cloud software.
