You can adjust the percentage of Salesforce API calls that backup operations can use per day. The percentage controls the maximum number of files that are backed up per day. The default value for Commvault Cloud backup operations is 50% of the total APIs calls for an organization. For example, if your organization has a maximum of 5 million API calls per day, by default, the Commvault Cloud backup operation uses 2.5 million calls per day.
To avoid exceeding the Salesforce API size limit, the Commvault Cloud software runs a full backup job until the number of API calls reaches the permissible limit for a day. The backup job is then marked as Committed and the subsequent incremental backup job continues to back up the remaining files until threshold for the next day is met. This process repeats until all the files are backed up and then the backup job is marked as Completed.
Before You Begin
To calculate the current percentage, on the Salesforce site, go to Setup and look up the following information:

The total record count: Setup > Storage Usage > Current File Storage Usage

The maximum number of API calls allowed: Company Information > API Requests, Last 24 Hours > (n max)
Compare the total record count to the maximum number of API allowed.
Procedure

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Salesforce.

Go to the Organizations tab.

In the Name column, click the app.

On the Configuration tab, on the API Limits tile, do the following:

To set the API limit for downloading Salesforce files such as Attachment, Document, and ContentVersion per backup, next to File download limit per backup, click the Edit button
and specify the percentage of APIs that can be consumed. By default, this value is set to 50%. -
To limit the Bulk API requests per backup for downloading Salesforce objects, next to Bulk API limit, click the Edit button
and specify the percentage of APIs that can be consumed. By default, this value is set to 80%.
