Perform a Test Backup and Restore of the Informix

To verify that the Informix database is set up correctly, perform a test backup and restore.

Back Up the Instance

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The database Overview page appears.

2. Go to Instances tab.

3. In the row for the instance, click the action button , and then click Back up.

   Alternatively, click the instance, and then click Backup option from instances overview page.

   The Backup options dialog box appears.

4. Select the backup level and set the retention period.

5. Click Submit.

Restore the Instance

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The database Overview page appears.

2. Go to Instances tab.

3. In the row for the instance, click the action button , and then click Restore.

   Alternatively, click the instance, and then click Restore option from the Recovery points tile.

   The Backup content page appears.

4. Select the data you want to restore.

5. Click Restore.

   The Restore options dialog box appears.

6. You can perform In place or Out of place restore as per the requirement.

7. Click Submit.
