Required ports

For snaphot operations, open port 443 (HTTPS) for communication between the NetApp server and the Commvault Cloud control plane and data plane.

Snapshot names

Primary array

  • Naming convention: VolumeName.SP-2-JobID-EpochTime

    • VolumeName: The primary name of the array volume.

    • SP_2: A constant value

    • JobID: Unique identifier for the snapshot backup job

    • EpochTime: The UNIX timestamp.

  • Example: Win-Test-01.SP-2-2512-1436834169

Replica array

  • Naming convention: ProtectionGroupName.SP-2-JobID-EpochTime.SourceVolumeName

    • ProtectionGroupName: The name of the protection group in the following format:

      CV--

      or

      CV---

      Protection group suffix is added only if new protection group is created for SafeMode operations.

    • SP_2: A constant value

    • JobID: Unique identifier for the snapshot backup job

    • EpochTime: The UNIX timestamp.

    • SourceVolumeName: The name of the source volume.
