You can use Commvault to restore a SharePoint Online user to your Azure Blob Storage account for long-term retention, compliance, or offline access. The integration with Azure Blob Storage lets you securely export data from Microsoft 365 to a designated container in your Azure Storage account, maintaining encryption and metadata integrity throughout the restore process.
To restore a SharePoint Online site to an Azure Blob Storage account, do the following:

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Microsoft 365.

On the Apps tab, click the app.

Click Restore in the upper-right area of the page.

Select the Restore sites tile, and then click Next.
Note
You can also restore sites by custom categories to your Azure Blob Storage account.

On the Select Sites tab, choose the site or sites you want to restore and then click Next.
Use the search feature in the upper-right corner to find specific sites.

On the Destination tab, do the following, and then click Next:

Select Azure Blob Storage from the available options.

Select a saved credential from the Azure Blob Storage dropdown list.

To add a new credential, click the Create new icon
and provide the requested credential details.

To edit an existing credential, click the Edit icon

On the Options tab, select the Include deleted items checkbox to include deleted items in the restore, and then click Next.

On the Review tab, verify the details in the Selected items for restore screen, and then click Submit.
The Summary page appears.

Click Close.
Important
When restoring a SharePoint Online list item that contains attachments, verify the version history of the list item after the restore operation completes.
If the list item was edited multiple times before and after attachments were added, verify that the restored item reflects the expected versions and metadata, such as Modified By and Modified Time.
