Restoring a SharePoint Online Site to a New Site

You can restore an entire site to a new site. You can copy only the content you want to the new sites.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Microsoft 365.

   The Microsoft 365 Overview page appears.

2. On the Apps tab, click the app.

   The Overview page of the app appears.

3. On the Sites tab, select a site, and then at the right area of the page, click Restore > Restore sites.

   The Restore Options tool appears.

4. On the Date and Time tab, specify the Recovery point date and time and click Next.

   The Destination tab appears.

5. Leave Create new sites and restore them selected, and then click Next.

   The Review tab appears.

6. Review the items you selected for restore, and then click Next to start the restore operation.

   The Summary tab appears.

7. Click Close.
